MAJOR RETAILER JOINS COLORADO SPRINGS RETAIL CENTER
Colorado Springs, CO (April 29, 2005) --- Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse has announced that it will become the next major retail store in Briargate Crossing located in Colorado Springs. The second largest home improvement retailer will boast a 165,000 square foot store and garden center that will encompass nearly 14 acres. Lowe’s will break ground this spring with a projected opening of fall 2006. Additionally, Prime West has three pads on that same site for smaller retail users that are available.
Lowe’s will join Memorial Hospital who is building an 85-bed, $142 million dollar facility southwest of Lowe’s.
“This area is at the center of growth in Colorado Springs with the surrounding major arterials and number of rooftops. We’re really excited at the opportunity,” commented Gary Reyner, manager of commercial development for Briargate developer La Plata Investments.
The 300-acre Briargate Crossing campus is the newest business campus in Colorado Springs. Located in the 10,000-acre master planned Briargate community, Briargate Crossing will consist of office, retail, and medical facilities. |
